I am very interested in feedback, in correcting mistakes and adding to the archive. I don’t particularly want to correct any minor layout issues so don’t be too picky.    Please discuss…. (email and name mandatory…email taken purely for security reasons).

It rings a bell but it’s not someing back to me. I think it had ‘chase’ in the name?

You can’t beat that one 🙂

  5. Hi,

Just amazing history! I’ve been a racing games fan since got my eyes on a Philips VideoPac G7000 in 1980’s, I now have about 130 computers or videogames and several hundreds of racing/driving games (my favourite genre) for them.

I’m really looking forward to see the rest of the pages! I hope you can upload them soon 🙂

Al l the best! Keep the spirit up 🙂

I actually think you mean Lotus Turbo Challenge II, since there is no races against the clock, turbo options or nice trucks to drive thru in Lotus I (at least not in computer formats)

  7. The old Lotus Espirit turbo Challenge, I had that, and then I deleted my games folder on my 386. 😦 I think I cried then. lol (after that I could only play the trivia games)

  8. hey all, I’m guessing this will be the right place to post a question i’ve been trying to figure out for a while. I’m looking for the name of a game i used to play everyday as a kid.

It’s a driving game, a 4 person one where the players sit around a a horizontal flat screen. The game is more cartoon-ish than realistic. You’re racing different boards against each other or the computer, you pick up power ups etc or hit oil slicks. I can’t remember the name at all, i could sing you the theme tune (will remember that the rest of my life) but that’s not much use in a text based forum obviously.

any ideas? this was a classic. I was probably playing this around 88-95. never seen the machine anywhere else expect for in Hong Kong where I grew up.

    any help appreciated.

  9. Does anyone remember a video arcade game from the late 70s early 80s. It was an 8 player racing game aroung a common video console.
Manufacturer? 8 people would stand around the game with steering wheels and the gas at the bottom (I thing there was a gear shift too.)
I remember as a kid at the MN state fair alot of good memories, battles etc.

U start with a cheap car and u can earn money by driving street races against your oppenents, u can also race elvis in his black corvette. Driving for pink slip is also a option. It didn’t had much colours and i believe i played it on a 386. Can u guys help me find out which game it was?

Yeah, it’s an arcade game. Great blog! I love racing games!

  13. Lance, what happened ? You done up to chapter 13, and the rest looks ready as chapters 13 to 18 also have pictures, but sadly, no links to view them?

I do hope that one day you can continue with this & complete it. Although it looks like it’s been a few years since the last update, so I’m doubtful. But anyway, you done really well with what’s been shown so far…

    • Is anybody strong in radio here? We need a colleague who would tell us briefly about the transistor T2. I hope there are radio amateurs here. If it`s not on the subject at all, then I`m sorry. I have to write because I have no choice. PS: if the spelling is not right then also I’m sorry, I’m just 13 years ol!&0#823d;
